Pretzel bread

I went to a Christmas fair yesterday and there was a lady there selling what
she called pretzel bread.  It was about 1 1/2 inch in diameter and 3 to 4
inches long.  Actually about the size of a Twinkie.  It had a nice crust not
real hard and the dough was a bit on the chewy side.  Had lots of salt and
garlic.  It was really quite nice.  Anyone have a recipe for something like
this??  It would be a great appetizer.
