It's a subjective matter. I love gas hobs but since I've had an 
electric oven, fan assisted, my baking has been much improved. My 
cooker is gas hob, electric oven, the ideal combination for me. I can 
bake nine loaves of bread (in tins or free-form) at once without 
moving them round the oven, they all bake beautifully, evenly and at 
the same rate, that means that they are ready together and the power 
isn't being used for longer than necessary.

So no tears from me!
