I make an oatbran bread for my husband who maintains that oatbran lowers
cholesterol and is good for you. One way to compensate the variety of
oatbran recipes besides muffins is to include it in yeast baking.
I came up with this delcious bread which doesnt even taste like a " health
food " recipe:). Im sure you will enjoy it.

JOAN'S OATBRAN BREAD FOR THE ABM

1 1/4 cups warm water ( 80 to 100 degrees )
2 tbs oil ( I use olive )
1 tbs sugar
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup uncooked oatmeal ( I use quick kind )
1 cup 100% oat bran ( this is sold by cooked cereal and is not bran flakes!
3 cups bread flour
3 tsp regular dry yeast

Place ingredients into abm as manufacturers instructs on the regular bread
cycle. You should have a good sized, delicious, well textured bread.
