You would have to have milk from the cow and let the cream rise to the top.
I've never made it in a bread machine but I have made it in a crank churn
and just shaking it in a quart jar with lid. You have it really cold and
crank/shake till the butter comes to the top. It takes a LOT of cream to
make a little butter.
