Pedro,

there is a special powdered sugar that is used on the donuts. we used it on 
baked goods that would be dusted with powdered sugar and then refrigerated 
(it works great and does not melt even in the refrigerator!!). the regular 
10x would always melt.  we used to call it "donut sugar". i checked the 
king arthur book and they carry something called "snow white sugar" that 
doesn't melt. this is probably what you are looking for.
